Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration

In Queensland, there are 3 types of Grant of representation which may be obtained by making an application to the Supreme Court:

• Grant of Probate;
• Grant of Letters of Administration with a will (for example, in circumstances where an executor has died or unable to act);
• Grant of Letters of Administration without a will (where the Deceased died “intestate”- without a will).

A Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration may be required to redeem estate assets.
